ProjectRicken
Since I updated to Tekkit 3.1.1 water seems to be behaving differently. I have a few pumps using the infinite water trick to pump water and essentially create infinite energy.. but ever since I have updated to 3.1.1 the water appears to have become finite. I notice my machines have no power and go to check the pumps to find that the water is missing. Any suggestions? Or was the infinite water glitch fixed? Torezu
Water refuses to re-populate in chunks that don't have a player close by, even if that chunk is loaded by something else. I'm guessing you left the general area?
ProjectRicken
Yeah, but it has always been quite far from me. It was working fine before, I had chunk loaders down though. It just seems to have been a problem within the last month.
Sp0nge
As you refer to it as infinite water glitch, ur just sad to loose the "infinte power"? Sorry if its just a trollpost in ur eyes, but arent you able to create powers in whats "the norm"?
ProjectRicken
I'm not exactly sure what it is you're trying to say -- without meaning to offend, your spelling makes it difficult to fully understand you. I call it a "glitch" because I believe that's what it is. I am able to make power in normal ways, yes, and I do. But this particular section of my technology runs off a hydro plant I created which relies on that particular water function. If anyone knows a way to solve this, it would be appreciated. It's making things rather annoying lately.
Xylord
First, make sure the pool you're pumping from is 5x5 (at least), and place the pump in the corner. Placing it in the corner is important because it makes it far less likely that it'll drain out the pool altogether. Finally, be perfectly sure you have a chunk loader such as a world anchor where the pump is pumping. Also, am I right if I say you're using water strainers? ProjectRicken
Yes, I am using water strainers. Is there something more effective? I think your suggestion may have fixed this issue. I'm going to give it more time to confirm, but if it did work I appreciate the assistance.

I've personally got a liking to nuclear reactors, but water strainers are good too, I guess. :P
Korialstrasz
If thats not working you could try to fill a water basin with the RP Pump. (dont forget to top it off or it will overflow) The RP Pump can transfer infinet Watersource Block from a 3x3 Infinite Waterpool when you place the grate in the middel of that. That work for me when i made a Beach out of the Dessert next to my House.
