Error installing tekkit 2.1 server

Hey, I've only just started hosting a 2.0 server for my friends so I don't know too much about updating a server. I though it would be best to try and run a separate tekkit 2.1 server but I can't get past the initial install. I won't post all of the error message but this is part of it:

This is repeated a lot and then nothing happens. I've tried updating java and I'm running 32bit on a 32bit machine so that's not the problem. Any ideas as to what's going wrong? :/

you must copy the files to clear folder not over copy them.

How it works:

1.Create New folder

2.Copy files to new folder

3.Copy your old maps from your old server folder to your New Folder

4.Launch server and play.

Still getting the same error :/ which files exactly am I copying into the new folder? I downloaded the new server files from the tekkit website and put them in a new folder and gone on as before from there. I'm not worried about my world at the moment, I just want the server to run.

All files from the zip.Idk well it worked for me.There must not be any old minecraft server files.

I have the same problem as you Rikar.

I think it is because it will not run on a 32bit system.

Yup, no old files at all. Well at least I'm not the only one it's not working for. Hopefully someone will work it out soon :/

tradari on another thread says that you need java 1.7 to run the server . My guess is you have 1.6?

Um buy a PC? I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you having the same problem?

Same thing happened to me and the update to Java 7 worked like a charm. If this is something that all server operators have to do, should it not then be mentioned on the tekkit download page?

this is realy stupid -.- why we need Java 7 for Tekkit2.1 -.-

my server hoster don't have java 7 while it is still beta

It's not tekkit, but one of the mods. I think it's the advanced machines for IC one. Not sure why they'd use 7, which is the test version(beta) of java to code it for an environment that people rely on your code to work.
