technic laucher fails

i got on technic launcher today and picked tekkit. than i hit launch it gave me an update and i clicked yes. it installs everything then it says checking for updates and the bar doesnt load but tekkit does so i close out of the launcher and it closes out of tekkit. any help?

mod edit: No a mod can't probate that guy, since he used the word correctly. A mod could probate you for backseat modding and telling mods what to do rather then just using the report feature however.

Fairly sure "Fail" wasn't used in that context.

Blargcraft: Try deleting the technicssp folder from %appdata%\.techniclauncher and then try to run Technic SSP again.

You do realize that 'fail' still has context? The launcher literally says 'Updated Failed'. I suppose we should probate Agelian too!

Been having this problem since yesterday.

Tried over ten times.. after typing username and password I hit login, then (regardless of which option, yogbox, vanilla, tekkit, that i choose) the message checking minecraft version appears and the downloading starts..

At about 5~8% it stops and after about 1 min it says Download Failed.

HOWEVERR!! After I disabled AVG Anti-Virus, it worked like a charm <3

UGH AVG! AVG is like poison to technic. I don't know why anyone uses it. I'll lock up your computer for viruses if you sneeze.

Yeah, AVG's been absolutely terrible for the past few years. It slows down systems horribly and rarely ever actually catches malware.

Not true, When i accidently entered a dangerous website, it blocked and warned me, before I would do something wrong.
