Hi guys, I was designing an automated nuclear reactor and I found that (as my reactor is cooled by ice) if I make a Retriever eject a depleted isotope cell, ice will soon fill up those slots which are previously the depleted isotope cells. I want to make sure when I eject the depleted isotope cell, I also feed in a brand new Uranium cell. Anyone has an idea?

there's a few ways to do this. the easiest would be to use the MFFS mod's reactor temperature control block (I forget the exact name, it's something like that). this will basically take care of shoving ice into your reactor for you so that it doesn't overheat. then pump in the full cells and such since you shouldn't be getting ice all up ins your uranium spots.

to answer your direct question though, I don't know of a way to "swap out" items like that without any delay. I'm not sure it's doable with the mods in tekkit (or technic for that matter).

With a bit of timing you can do it without MFFS. If one cell is depleted, stop the feeding of ice, retrieve the cell, put in a new one, restart the ice flow.

Just make sure, that you have full stacks of ice in your reactor during the stop, so it wont run hot in that few seconds. (And that the new cell won't go into an ice slot.)
