I still don't understand. Are you talking about the download page for Technic and clicking on "Linux/JAR File"

Yes sorry I should have been clearer

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH, here's a fix that always works:

1: Go get Java SE 6u34

2: Delete the Technic folder located here: C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher

3: Load TechnicLauncher and choose Technic SSP and let the TechnicLauncher do its thing.

4: Come back to me if you have more problems.

No. It will not always work, and will probably crash the fuck out of your game. Use Java 7u7.

When I clicked on the jar file, it gave me a winzip file. Where do I go from there?

I am getting a “Technic Launcher has Stopped Working Error”!

If your launcher is encountering this error, a solution is to download the .jar file from http://www.technicpack.net/download/ (pick the third from the left (Linux/Jar)). If you are using Internet Explorer you will also need to change the file extension (the ending of the file) to .jar instead of .zip. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is double-click on the file to run the launcher.

How do you change the file extension?

How do you change the file extension?

It is the same as renaming the file. Change it from .zip at the end to .jar (there will probably be a warning about doing so just ignore it)

Is that the drop down menu that says "save as type"? Cuz all i have for that is "winzip file" and "all files". Those are my options.
