New to tekkit cant join servers

Hey Everyone!

I'm new to playing Tekkit and require a bit of help. Basically the single player works fine. But whenever i try to join a server, the message i get everytime is 'Failed to login: Bad login'. I don't understand why because i purchesed my account and vanilla minecraft works fine online. But im confused as to why i cant play tekkit online. All help is appreciated! thanks

Are you trying to connect to normal servers or Tekkit servers, because normal servers will work.

Make sure that the drop down logo in upper left of launcher shows Tekkit and not Technic. Are you trying to connect to open tekkit servers? If it is a whitelisted server or based on permissions you may have to contact someone related to the server before you will be allowed to connect to it.

I'm trying to join a tekkit server but every time I try it comes up is says something about connection reset. If you can explain this I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks.

It most likely means that you aren't white-listed for the server.

Yes it says Tekkit and not technic. all the servers i attempt to join are open servers. thanks

Hmm I'm not sure then (I don't play Tekkit just Technic) the only other thing I can think of is maybe you are running a different version of Tekkit than the servers?

well the servers ive been attempting say the same version as the tekkit version that im using so im not sure it could be that either

Bad login has most likely something to do with your minecraft account.

Can you join a vanilla server via the original Minecraft client.?

Make sure your account is not logged in somewhere else.

Make sure you are not in offline mode on the launcher or minecraft.

Yes i have no issues joining servers on the original unmodded version of Minecraft.

It is defiantly not logged in anywhere else

And also just to let you know, it is a Legitimate account that i purchased last july.

It usually means that something has gone wrong over on Mojang's side. Wait a few minutes, and try again. Also use http://help.mojang.com/ to see if any of the Minecraft servers are down. If the multiplayer sessions are down or the logins aren't working properly, you usually get a bad login error.

But it happens all the time. Like ive never been able to join a Tekkit Server.

Then check your firewall and antivirus. They may be blocking access to the login servers.

i have been having the same problem, on my own server when i try to join it says bad login
