Well, I can't be certain that he passed it. So, I'll give him a pass on this one, assuming he comes back with a bit more to go on.

... Nice work on the quotations there bride ;)

Thank you for a prompt answer.

sadly disabling McAfee had no effect.

is there anything else I could try?

Is it possible for some how some of the files for minecraft or technic to be missing?

Very possible. Try re-downloading and see what happens (and when you redownload make sure you turn of Mcafee

Did you clear the cache? McAfee may be blocking the launcher downloading the mods, but you may have some kind of firewall blocking it.

In regards to the Mojang loading screen that is exactly where the error occurred.

I am very sorry if this is in the wrong section.

You are right on the line of this being the correct place! (Suck it andrew!)

Here's my trouble shooting instruction:

Troubleshoot:

Make sure your anti-virus and firewalls are disabled while trying to connect to minecraft.net (while logging in, connecting to a server)

Uninstall Java, then delete your .techniclauncher folder.

Restart your computer (it's not required, but it never hurts to give it a break)

Reinstall the correct version of Java for your computer (ensure the bit type matches)

Redownload the Launcher.

Try to run the .exe, if this does not work, look in your .techniclauncher folder, make sure you have a .jar file in there.

(Ask Jorcer if the exe doesn't work)

Thank you so much!

this fixed my problem completely

if there is any sort of rewards program (points, trust, ect.) I would be happy to recommend all of you.

Yes, send :10bux: in the mail to my home address. I will make sure bride gets half.

Serious note: No, the admins decided that the whole thumbs up/down thing was dumb (and I agree) so there is no trust, points or anything. If you are helpful (or awesome) you gain a name for yourself. (Like bride and me)
