Description of Problem:

I press login with my username and password after that the screen goes white then flashes black then it crashes.

The new launcher will not work (as far as I know) with Java 7 on OSX.

Downgrade to Apple's Java 6.

Offtopic: Install an Antivirus, because right now your computer can get destroyed by annoying viruses and other malware. There's also a chance of keyloggers, which can get your accounts hacked

I did it, I tried everything from unistalling/installing java...allocating more memory, and downloading the launcher again, and deleting the launcher folder..it started randomly crashing and its anything

Well, first, read this: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/common-problems-and-solutions.10851/

Try the solutions there before proceeding.

Then:

1. Delete your entire .technicpack folder

2. Search your downloads (and any associated folders) for possible downloaded files from .techniclauncher

3. Uninstall Java

4. Search for any other possible downloaded Java versions you may have

5. Restart your computer

6. Download Java (recommended is Java 6 for mac users trying to use the Technic Pack, I believe)

7. Download the mac version of Technic Pack

If you still have issues, post whatever new/old issues you are having here.

Just because it worked with Java 7 doesn't mean it will always work. Java 6 for Macs is the version the launcher was developed with. Using something other than that can cause problems.

i Have been having the same problem, I have notice something that might help or it could just confuse things a bit. i updated my mac to 10.8.2 yesterday then the problems started. i had it opening like normal. i log in it turns white for a sec like normal then it just crashes, no error messaged or anything. my mac does npot even say that it has crashed, and i notice that it usually shows a java symbol when i have it open. when the problems started i had the technic launcher opening and showing java Main... the same thing pops up when i run my tekkit server.... its strange... plz try to help me and Denverc412

Try this:

1. Download the Java Preferences zip that saintnicster so graciously provided. (Here: http://www.mediafire.com/?5gbkjr3tgcek4pk)

2. Open Java Preferences

3. Right click on Java 7 (should open new finder window with one item in it called "1.7.0 jdk")

4. Move 1.7.0 jdk to trash

5. Open Technic Launcher
