theduke9999 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Hi. I have a set up that I'm trying to power my quarry. Its like [MFSU]->[MV-Trans]->[LV-Trans] from there it branches to my personal machines, automatic maceration system, and my quarry. Every thing works but the quarry. It was working for a short time but it stopped. When I click with EU-Reader it says 0 EU/t. Any help? Screenshots:http://imgur.com/a/GGzug
Aeolos Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Sorry, dude. Images aren't showing. Could just be me though.
b0bst3r Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Pictures dont' show the quarry side, do you have an energy link next to the quarry and connect the cable to the energy link?
theduke9999 Posted October 29, 2012 Author Posted October 29, 2012 yes i do... i may be derpy but im not that derpy... :P
Industrial Miner Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Look with the EU-reader where EU flows and where not.
theduke9999 Posted October 29, 2012 Author Posted October 29, 2012 it all flows to my personal use machines and thats what i should have said
Hushful Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Copper cables are shit over long distances, they loose EU rapidly, replace them with glass fiber. Energy Links can handle MV power and they will run faster. Each machine will take 2 EU/t so if you have 16 machines more or less hooked up to that copper cable, your quarry won't get any power.
Wendo Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 You're losing it all in the copper cables, as above. Personally I'd just drop some transformer upgrades in my machines, then run everything at HV and use only glass fibre cables. Transform down to LV for the energy link or it'll empty your MFSU pretty much immediately
Industrial Miner Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Even if you only want to use copper cables, put one LV transformer after four copper cables, as that prevents loss. And just a small tip for the energy link, power a batbox first instead and then use the power in the batbox to ONLY power the energy link. The energy link acts like an EU-sink being able to take ANY voltage.
