Disable the NEI?

I'm trying to make a server, but i want to NEI disabled. I know my friends will abuse it but i think it takes the fun out of the whole thing.

So is there a way to disable it server wide?

Also creepers. Want them disabled too. Thanks!

by default, only peopel who are OPs can spawn items with NEI. You shouldn't have to do dick.

Also, keeping NEI is preffereable, because of the recipe mode being sexy.

Nope, i've got the server up but everyone can use it. No ones been OPed yet, but they can still use them.

(side note, while typing this, i got it to be disabled for all. Now how about them creepers?)

You need some kind of plugin for that. I don't server manage, so i can't help ya there.

Have what exactly, because NEI has a config. You can be happy in lala land there and do anything you want to NEI to make you happy.

Some of the mods do not work, so i'm planning to set up a sort of market on the server, when you give me the materials you want (for the ones that don't work, obviously) i'll dispose of them (lava) and spawn your item.

If not, then i'll have to use the commands from the chat to spawn things. NEI will just speed it up.

ONE, are you a server op/admin?

TWO, who else on your server is an admin/op?

THREE, NEI is just fine how it is, it has all the options you will ever need, who can use it and can you cheat. so you must either not know what you are talking about or do not know what google/youtube is.

FOUR, Some mods are BUGGED, it's not that they don't work, it's that there are minor problems that will fix themselves eventually.

FIVE, do you even have access to the config files?

I am wondering this as well. I don't even know where to start.

NEI cheat mode is disabled by default. The only way your players can use it to spawn items or other cheats, is if you make them an OP or you changed the cfg file. They will be able to SEE the items, this is called recipe mode and is super useful so you do not have to tab out to the wiki every time you want to know how to make an item. Do not turn off all of NEI just because you do not know how it functions.

Also, what "not working" things are you going to trade, and why? All raw materials other then Tungsten have use and are working. If there are things that your players want to get rid of, they can simply burn it in EE and make what they want, why would you have any need for a market?
