benolian Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I need to get rid of Tekkit from my server ASAP. I couldn't find any documentation on how to do it anywhere!!! To install I uploaded the Tekkit.zip, and re-named the tekkit.jar to craftbukkit-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar as it directed to do in my server company's knowledgebase.
Jay? Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 To uninstall, delete the tekkit files from your server. You can't just turn it into a vanilla server though.
benolian Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 Thanks, is there a list of Tekkit files anywhere?
Jay? Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Thanks, is there a list of Tekkit files anywhere? Uhh, not that i know of. You could always redownload the server again, extract the zip, and use that list of files to find everything.
Jorcer Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I am curious as to why it is so important that you uninstall ASAP!!!
theprolo Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 I'm mostly curious at why he didn't just download a vanilla or Bukkit server instead, rather than getting a Tekkit one and uninstalling the Tekkit part of it.
benolian Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Jorcer, due to some various unknown bugs on my server Tekkit was bringing down my server. I have a lot of players that play on my server and Tekkit was destroying the worlds and taking out most of the plugins. My players voted to remove tekkit. theprolo I have had a bukkit server for a long time and have made many various changes to bukkit (Don't worry about that now). I decided to install tekkit and for reasons said before I had to remove it, without losing my current version of Bukkit.

Sometimes Tekkit needs specific versions, or patches.
