I downloaded the launcher and ran it but all it does is pop up the window that saying Checking for updates and then dissappears within a half second, i tried restarting my computer but I get the same problem. I also tried deleting and redownloading, and after that didnt work I tried downloading it in a different browser, I'm not sure what to do to make it work. :(

Also, this should go in the launcher section, since it is the launcher that is not working. If you were to visit the launcher section you might notice this sticky: Topic: Common Problems (And their solutions)

It happens to include a section that sounds very much like what you are experiencing:

Problem: When using the launcher, It opens, says "Checking Launcher Version" And then shuts down. Spout does not open afterwards.

Reason: Unknown.

Solution: Go to AppData\Roaming\.techniclauncher and open the techniclauncher.jar file in java. It will open the launcher, and will let you play technic through spout.
