Computer Locks up after joining server, then restarts graphics

Launcher/pack Version: Tekkit v 2.1 (Everything up to date)

Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit

Version of Java: v6 64-bit

Description of Problem: I launch the game, click multiplayer, click the server I want to join. immediately upon joining, (I can see black screen with chat and my inventory) the computer locks up. about 5-10 seconds later flashes black, and throws me a warning about the graphics recovering. I was able to stop this temporarily by having an admin pull me to a different chunk, but then I left the server and came back to the same issue.

Error Messages: N/A that I can tell.

Additional Notes: I have reinstalled TechnicPack today. this did nothing. On some servers it works fine, but on several others. It does this... Also it might be a chunk related thing... But what in the chunk is doing it is unknown to me.

Sounds like this isn't an issue with Tekkit. Does this happen with other games? If not, do you get polygon artifacts? If so, your graphics card is probably on the fritz (overheating) and/or possibly close to death.

I dont get this with any other games.. I also am able to play battlefield 3 on ultra for hours without issues so I dont think my gcard is close to overheating. That being said, Sad face.

Through an incredibly painful process of trial and error, I found the cause. If there is IC2 Advanced Machines nearby, my client will lock up and then crash... This doesn't happen on my mac, just my PC...

This still happens, and i've confirmed it happens only when IC2 Advanced Machine are around, and only on my windows 7 64 bit box... My mac can load them just fine... Any help would be appreciated.
