Can't Connect to minecraft.net through the Launcher

Launcher Version: 1.0.3.4

Operating System: Windows 7, 64 bit

Java Version: Java 7 Update 9

Antivirus Program: AVG

Description of Problem:

I load the launcher and ModPacks fine, but then I click 'Login' and I can't connect to minecraft.net. I have a proper WiFi connection and can connect to vanilla just fine. I have checked the logs and no error logs show up. I have tried several times and am sure that I am entering my username and password correctly, since it was just working yesterday.

Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net

Yea I was playing Tekkit, it crashed and when I tryed to login it said every time counldnt conect to minecraft.net would you like to run offline mode.

Well, either way, if it affects your regular minecraft as well, these are the wrong forums. Try the Mojang support site.

Tekkit does support the mojang accounts, actually, I can confirm this.

Basically, Tekkit just logs in the exact same way minecraft does, if you have trouble logging in, it's most likely that minecraft.net is down, and you'll just have to wait

You'd figure that with this many people playing Minecraft, and with the number of times that minecraft.net has gone offline over the last year, Mojang would get their act together and fix their servers.

I can login into minecraft without any problems. However, I have not been able to login with the TechnicLauncher ever. Anyone have suggestions? I've turned off Antivirus software, redownloaded launcher. Still no success.
