Pandademic Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Hello, I am trying to make a modpack and seems to be running the normal Minecraft jar and not the 1.15.2 Forge jar. This is what I did to make the mod pack. I started by making my folders which is mods, bin, and config. No caps on the folders. I put the Forge jar in the bin folder and made sure it was set for 1.15.2. I renamed the Forge jar modpack and once again no caps. I got a few small mods to try it out. They are the "DoggyTallents-1.15.2-1.15.2.3" and "Xaeros_Minimap_10.11.0_Forge_1.15.2". They were downloaded of the Curse Forge site and I made sure they didn't need anything else to run and put them in the mods folder. After this I took the three folders and put them into an archive folder using WinRAR. I set the archive as a zip folder named "panda v1". I took the archive and put it into drop box. I copied the link for the file and put it into the modpack location and changed the dl=0 to dl=1. I made sure it was set for the Minecraft 1.15.2 and updated the modpack. I copied the link and installed it and started the modpack. Then my problem came up. Where it didn't load the forge jar. The name of the pack is Pandademic Pack. I have tried a few things and watched and read very many how to's when it comes to this, but I just can't find the problem. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
JaariAtmc Posted May 23, 2020 Posted May 23, 2020 Which Forge jar? The universal or the installer? 1.15 Forge needs the installer renamed to modpack, jar.
Pandademic Posted May 23, 2020 Author Posted May 23, 2020 It is the universal one. everyone and their mom is saying I should use that. So should I use the installer?

Yeah, but everyone and their mom didn't do their due diligence and checked if anything changed when Forge did 1.13. So yeah, use the installer for Forge 2854+ (1.12.2) and Forge for MC 1.13 and up (yes, that includes 1.15)
Pandademic Posted May 23, 2020 Author Posted May 23, 2020 Haha! Awesome, I will give that a shot. Thank you very much.

I thought the set up was simple enough, but I guess I'm missing something on the set up. I was trying to look around for help, because I have a little baby and can't spend all day trouble shooting. Everything I find is only dealing with later minecraft versions. From what I found the technic site set up seems to be out dated and not set for 1.13 and up. So do you happen to know of a form or anything that can lay out the format and set up for me? Also thank you so much for your time and help.
Pandademic Posted May 24, 2020 Author Posted May 24, 2020 Thank you to both of you that helped me get this going. It is working great now and I can finally get it all set up.
