spartanyanni Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 So I recently acquired a new toshiba computer. It has plenty of RAM, and i7 processor, the works. But it has windows 8... WHHHHHHHYYYYYYYY???? But seriously, would it be worth the time an money to uninstall it and install windows 7? All I wish to do with it is play steam games, surf the web, and use Microsoft office programs. Are their any real compatibility issues or microsoft oversights that would make these tasks tedious or problematic? Quote

GreenWolf13 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 *cough* Ahem. May I introduce you to Linux, a wide variety of distros based off of the open-source Linux Kernel developed by Linus Torvaldus? Steam even has official support for Ubuntu now, so no need to worry about emulators! Quote

andrewdonshik Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 The good ones? Most valve games aren't yet. When they are, I switch. Oh, and Skyrim, which I don't actually have yet. Quote
althalus1337 Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 The good ones? Yes, all three of them. Quote
