Medbot Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I was looking through the files and wonder can you add mods to it?
0 Synthetica Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Yes. But when a mod says "put file x in minecraft.jar", put it in modpack.jar instead.
0 Forum Administrators KakerMix Posted March 20, 2012 Forum Administrators Posted March 20, 2012 Ok thanks if was thinking of aether mod.
0 Synthetica Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Ok thanks if was thinking of aether mod. But don't blame the T-Team if it doesn't work... By the way, you might want to try better than wolves in the technic pack. :munch:

0 Synthetica Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 by the way where is modpack.jar? or must it be created? In %appdata%/.techniclauncher/technicssp/bin on Windows

I did put the contents of the technic pack download in my documents tho. the one with config, mods, README and Technic_Installer.jar There is no installer anymore, are you using some weird old version? We only support/focus on the launcher now, we don't HAVE an installer anymore.
0 jakj Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 By the way, you might want to try better than wolves in the technic pack. +1 reputation with Troll faction.
0 Ragnar Homsar Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Im using 4.4.0 Jesus christ why are you so behind on versions?
0 Synthetica Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Im using 4.4.0 Jesus christ why are you so behind on versions? Yes, we're up to 6.10 these days.
0 Pokemane Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 also, it's ~/appdata/Roaming/.techniclauncher/ Exactly where the .minecraft folder is. If you hit the Windows key, then type %appdata% and hit enter, you'll see it. Also, jesus. Download the launcher already.
0 Medbot Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 Fine I got it. I suppose to start it you have to login or something? The I try to login it says something hard to read. What do i do? :< maybe do i put the files into the vanilla Bin and resources folders?

0 Medbot Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 I'm a modder, i've got the game files. Can it not find them? I haven't seen any way to manually select the path.

0 Medbot Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 I wonder... Whats the whole thing about logging into minecraft.com even needed? Is it a optional thing and there is something i'm missing? I found the old installer to be nice and simple. The perfect medium for installing my mods. The new one is quite complicated.

0 Medbot Posted March 21, 2012 Author Posted March 21, 2012 I mean there on the Technic Launcher where it says Minecraft username and below that password. Then the login button. What is that for? Yes I'm a noob. please bear with me in my cluelessness.
0 Deathspawn Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 it needs to authenticate the fact you HAVE an account and BOUGHT the game.
0 Synthetica Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 it needs to authenticate the fact you HAVE an account and BOUGHT the game. Just because it isn't free. Also, it loads your skin!
0 Pokemane Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I'm a modder Then the login button. What is that for? Yes I'm a noob. please bear with me in my cluelessness. Does not compute... It's just a different launcher for Minecraft. It's essentially the same thing as the vanilla launcher, but better. But still. The thing is super simple. The technicssp and tekkitsmp files are just in ~/appdata/roaming/.techniclauncher. I don't know where you're getting confused at, and am actually confused at what you're trying to accomplish.
