My Technic Launcher Is'nt Working

I opened up the .exe for the Technic launcher but it didn't load. The small window appeared saying 'Downloading Launcher', but after half a second it suddenly closed back down. I'm running the latest version of java and the latest version of the Technic launcher. I tried directly running the 'technic-launcher.jar' file but it says the file is corrupt. I deleted the files and re-downloaded the launcher three times but nothing is happening

Please could I have some help?

i just got the same problem so u aint alone in this.... tried to shut down ani-virus program but didnt help

Im also having that problem, i tryed to delete my .technicpack and redownload the launcher, but it didnt help :/

Same issue here. No updates to my computer over the last days.

OS: Windows 7

AV/FW: F-Secure 2012

I can list hardware specs if required.

if that fails, use pastebin.com to post the information in

%appdata%\.techniclauncher\logs\launcher_0.log

also, what OS and java version are you using?

This just started happening for me as well...

No log file to post.

Running Windows 7 with Java 7.

Deleted the .techniclauncer folder and tried reinstalling, all it does is create the folder again, and only adds the technic-launcher.jar file. When I try to click on the file it says that it is invalid or corrupt.

it seems like its a problem everyone is having.

I'm not sure but I saw an earlier post saying the is a problem with the updater, and the files from github are have been removed so the launcher wont work

The download in the post above got the launcher working, but now I'm getting an "update failed" error while downloading Tekkit. So this isn't quite resolved yet :/

Fresh new launcher from frontpage, and removed the old installation.

This is all probably due to the minecraft update today. A global fix has been applied. Go redownload the launcher. (exe users too)
