jfjohnny5 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I've managed to create a custom modpack and distribute it successfully. But whenever I want to make an update, either updating a mod in the pack or adding a new one, I have to clear the cache within the launcher options to get it to download the custom zip file. Is there a way to tell the launcher it should redownload the zip? Or is there a way to force it to clear the cache without going in the options manually?
freakachu Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 it was my understanding that it should redownload the custom zip if it gets updated. from what you're saying it sounds like that isn't happening. I will try and point someone who actually knows what's up with the launcher code over here. edit: talked to olloth, it does not auto download the custom zip if it's updated and that is intended behavior.
jfjohnny5 Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 So the only way to "update" is to manually clear the cache?

jfjohnny5 Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 That's a shame. So, where's the suggestion box for feature enhancements?
Forum Administrators sct Posted February 8, 2013 Forum Administrators Posted February 8, 2013 No suggestions necessary. The new launcher has a solution for this, although I cant share the specifics just yet.
