Help with Computer Craft

Ok so I am helping my friend with his server and i set up his rules on a monitor using computer craft. However when he did a server restart all of the rules on the monitor were gone as well as all text on all monitors for everyone in the server. Is there something I missed? Or do i have to save the message to a floppy disk. If so then how do i save it.

P.S. the way i used to get the message onto the monitor was "monitor right edit test"

Well yea, unless you had set the text to be part of the startup program, and even then, you'd have to manually restart the computers so far as I know.

So to save it, easiest method would be to make the computers startup program display the text.

I have already tried to use the wiki and i could not figure out what it meant. Is there anyway someone could possibly create a video of this. its is really confusing me.

The owner of the PC probably saved the stuff to a program, and when the server restarted, the program wasn't loaded. Unless he did it manually in the Lua prompt, which is just dumb.

I tried everything from the wiki link but it still wont show on the monitor. I do not know what it is that I am doing wrong xwx
