I am having the same problem

I hope someone comes up with a solution. I have a similar problem. I start technic, and it does nothing.

I believe I am having the same problem. I have the same system as wesim, the original poster. The technic launcher comes up, it downloads the modpack, windows come up saying it is adding some FML items, the white screen comes up pre-Mojang, it flickers and then closes by itself. This happens for any mod choice, including vanilla. I can run vanilla fine without using the launcher.

The one thing I can add is that very occasionally (1/20?) the game will actually start from the launcher. I don't know if that information would help you find the problem.

It just doesn't work on OSX with Java 7. You will have to install java 6. See the sticky at the top of this forum.

i looked at my resources folder and for some reason nothing was in it why is that. Is the that reason why the game won't launch because it is skipping the installation of the mods.

Olloth told you, the launcher does not work with java 7 when you're using OSX. Does me literally repeating this information help you?!
