New launcher is broken, do not update

SO I was excited to use the new launcher, but in fact it's completely broken and doesn't let me load any mod pack at all, just comes up with a plus icon saying "add new modpack" and a bunch of "Loading..." where the modpacks should be.

Luckily I kept the old launcher, which works fine.

Do not upgrade until they fix this shit.

Uh huh, so the launcher I am using to play all the packs including my custom pack because I didn't encounter this really common bug with multiple possible fixes posted on the bug boards of this website is broken right now and they need to fix this working launcher, Gotcha.

The launcher isn't broken, you have encountered a bug, it's a very common bug, it's not that the entire launcher is broken because I am playing a custom pack right now

Try running as Admin

Disable your AV/Firewall

Ensure you are on the latest Java

EDIT: A secondary program called temp.exe is CRITICAL to the launcher, ensure this program is not blocked
