Voltz spawn point

I have got my own server, but i want to set my spawn point where i would like it to be. I have used /setspawn but it says command not recognized or similar. I have also downloaded MCedit but that does not allow Voltz maps only minecraft ones.Any help?

/set spawn comes from essentials. Get that plugin.

OK, I have tried this but it doesn't make a difference. I've put it in the mods folder is this the correct place for it?

Its a plugin not a mod. There's your problem.

There is no plugin file on my Voltz server.

Are you in the folder that has files like "bin", "mods", "config", etc?

Yes i have got config, coremods, lib, mods and world.

Plugins should be there then... try redownloading the server files

I'm pretty sure that the Voltz server isn't Bukkit by default. If you want access to this command (and any other plugins), you'll need to install Bukkit.

Really though, many people think that those commands come with the pack be default since almost every good server has it so they assume its integrated.

I agree, I just find it amazing how many people make a server and try messing around with it without looking into HOW to properly set up a server first.

RalphRoberts so many of use are setting up servers and yes some do it wrong, But you say we don't look in to it WE DO! I have successively set up a running server but wanted to know some addons to put in my server. My server has been running for a while now and i have had no problems just wanted to improve it a bit. I'm glad I have amused you so much.
