blsmith2112 Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 We recently put down several new MJ based machines in our (previously) EU exclusive base. The problem is that the Energy Tesseract continues to pump MJ even after all the base items are full of MJ, resulting in an explosion of the Golden Conductive Pipe. I tried putting a redstone energy cell down adjacent to the tesseract to try and control the flow of the energy but that still yields in an eventual explosion of the Golden Conductive Pipe. I'm sure its a simple fix, how can I essentially stop the MJ from flowing once its no longer needed? Quote
disconsented Posted April 12, 2013 Posted April 12, 2013 Either: Use Redstone Conduits or a Red Stone cell and a Gate which will turn it on and off when needed. Quote
diamondeye83 Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 Perhaps use electric engines, I don't believe they explode Quote
blsmith2112 Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 Just learned about Redstone Conduits and it seems to be working swimmingly now. Thanks guys. Quote
MrKekson Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Redstone Conduits are the way, 10% loss, but not depend on range, also you can create a loop with gold pipes, so it wont explode, but if you have a lot, it may cause lag since there can be a sh*tload of packets jerking around in it Quote
Industrial Miner Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Wasn't it a fixed 5% loss? And avoid looping with bc pipes. The power loop keeps getting bigger ( only if it has nowhere to go) and it will explode once it reaches 820+ MJ/t. Quote
Industrial Miner Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 I'm sure that I've heard from the ForgeCraft server that it is 5%. The energy tesseract however has a loss of 25%, which is configurable. Anyway, I think this thread can be closed now. Quote
