The Red Grasshopper Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 first off when you have to do a complete system rebuild and transfer your files off-site as well as getting pulled into work for 4 hours ya that can hurt your downtime. And 2nd reported for thread jacking I didnt know about the 4hrs though that would really mess up time yea but system rebuild I thought It was a quick OS change srry for disturbing the peace

Hes just the one that finaly had enough. 0218 you were even unbanned and given a second chance and blew it Im tired of your childish whining. post on this thread again and be reported. If you want to say you think its a crappy server fine leave your review and be done with it but I will not let you derail this thread any more then you already have. what da report button do?
soulgriever Posted October 22, 2012 Author Posted October 22, 2012 Ok after 24+ hours of downtime we are back up and running (mostly) I deeply apologize as I know you guys have been craving to play some tekkit most of the main stuff is fixed however we are still debugging and as always when you have a big change like this more downtime is likely probable until we get all the kinks out. Hopefully though (hopefully) that bugged tick loss is a thing of the past. I look forward to seeing you on the server.

Don't let a few people who have had bad experiences on the server deter you from playing there, you get what you put into it. If you are active and spend the time to actually play Tekkit how it should be played, you will find no shortage of helpful players willing to answer your questions or give advice. Some people posting here are the kids you never like playing with on any server. They are the 12 year olds who try to cuss people out to look tough, they grief or pvp against new players, or beg for money. When things don't go their way, they get mad and run their mouths. However, if you do play here, you'll get to know some of the active players and it is by far one of the best Tekkit servers, if not Minecraft servers out there. I'm still fairly new here, but I've already spent a huge amount of time on the server and I didn't even bother looking for any others.
soulgriever Posted November 3, 2012 Author Posted November 3, 2012 Thankyou Mekkon your review is very much appreciated I love when people give their honest review on a server, even if it was from someone else who was banned from the server (as long as their review makes sense) It helps let us know what we are doing right and what we can improve on. -On a side note I just want to mention that alot more changes to Parsonage are underway. Alot of it is hush hush atm but I will announce one of them to keep you all in good faith. Im sure you have noticed some "rubber banding" on the server lately this is because we found that our current host is doing a not so nice way of buisness. We are currently on a VPS but we found that our cores for our processors are burstable which means that we don't always have them today a few of our cores came unbound and caused our server to crash so we decided to do something thats best for everyone (except our current host) we are switching hosts and we are going to a dedicated machine (no more sharing with other servers) there should be a 30 min downtime in a few days when omega takes the server down to copy the files but we will have 2 machines going at once so all the prep work will be done before taking the machine offline. Where as before when we went to ubuntu we had no second machine so we had to upload the files to a host install the new os and set it up, then build all the linux files to manage the server you get the point. Hopefully this will give us a lag free environment much hope on changes to come and dont lose faith in us were not done yet.
0218958 Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 it is a great server exept for some people (not soul) that think since they have a little more power they can go around banning people for ridicoulous things like asking a person to tp 4 times and acting like a 12 year old (look two posts up).

I mean seriously how do you not have a helen keller yet
