computer craft computers/turtles won't turn on

I'm able to make all the items in computer craft but for some reason the computers or turtles after being placed down won't turn on. I even went and clicked on one, went to the store to get cigs and when I got back is still only showing the black screen and no shell prompt.

Probably a stupid question, but have you given the turtles fuel?

Also is it ssp or smp?

I played on a server where turtles were craftable, but they had been prevented from running any programs by the server owner.

Having the same problem over here. In my singleplayer world, I placed a computer to make a simple password lock door, but it just won't boot.

Try renaming 'ComputerCraft1.52.zip' in the mods folder to just 'ComputerCraft.zip'. Some people have reported this fixing the no-boot problem; then again, other people haven't had any success doing this.

Probably less of a chance for it to work than that, but hell, it's not like you have anything to lose by renaming a mod folder.
