Dale Raine Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 Hmmm it didn't work, i must have done something wrong :/ Quote
31trainman Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 screen shot what the server's root folder looks like. Quote
Dale Raine Posted May 10, 2013 Author Posted May 10, 2013 I think the voltz.jar ended up in the wrong place...... i could put in the voltz 1.1.4. file, it went in to the root folder i think, its difficult to tell when its on a FTP thing tbh :/ Quote
Dale Raine Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 I cant seem to put a screenshot on here :/ The voltz.jar ended up in the folder outside of the voltz 1.1.4 folder if that makes sense, it was in the folder where all of the server files end up when the server is created, does that make sense? P.S. sorry for the delayed reply, my internet went down Quote
31trainman Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 you want the Voltz.jar in server's root folder where the other folders that contain files are. If you need direct help pm and il add ya on Skype. its ok Quote
Kiante Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Hey, I was having the same problems (plus some). This sounds like some useful information. So, my question is, firstly, do I need to still use that version of MCPC +, so that it it's for MC 1.4.7? That's still the only one that will work with Voltz? Also, why don't you give us a path for where you're wanting us to put the file? Please? Quote
31trainman Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 You can only use 1.4.7 MCPC + with 1.4.7, the folder you put that file in is the one that contains the mods folder and etc. if you open your voltz folder currently you'll see a Voltz.jar Quote
Dale Raine Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 Hi! Sorry it's really been a while since i was on here! I have been busy with RL When i tried it i couldnt get that to work! The server loads up, but with no bukkit support or anything, and sometimes it crashes it and wont start the server at all, sometimes it doesnt load up the console correctly either I suspect that it may not be compatable with the nitrous networks system :/ When i delete everything expect the file you gave me (the MCPC.jar) and the mods and coremods the server doesnt start properly I dont know how to fix it :( Quote
planetguy Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 You deleted the config folder, I take it? Replace it with the config folder from the version of Voltz you're running on the server. Quote
Dale Raine Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 Sorry, no i left the config file and everything, the only thing i deleted was the minecraft_server.jar from the root file of the server and the voltz.jar from the voltz 1.1.4 server folder, so what i've done is i've re-instated the original folders, so if i press on the launch server it will launch a voltz server absolutley fine. My base folder has these folders in : "Config", "Coremods", "Mods", "Voltz_Server_1.1.4.zip", "minecraft_server.jar" and "server.properties". So which should i replace with the MCPC thing? :) Quote
Dale Raine Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 Sorry again, the .jar file in the voltz server.zip file is called mineraft_server.jar too, so i dont know which to replace! :/ I dont know which the server uses to start to be honest! :( Quote
planetguy Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Replace the minecraft_server.jar with the MCPC+ jar. Bukkit plugins don't work with the server GUI so you'll need to run the server from a command line to use plugins. Quote
Dale Raine Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 Okay, which one? the one inside the voltz.zip or the one in the server root? or do i delete the one in the server root? What do you mean by run the server from a command line to use plugins :/ Sorry im a bit of a noob! Quote
planetguy Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 The one in the server root. What operating system is the server hosted on? Quote
Dale Raine Posted May 28, 2013 Author Posted May 28, 2013 I have it working Brilliant :D :D I have factions installed now woohoo!
