Maybe some kind of menu where you can see all items, search for items, and see their recipes and which recipes use those items?

Yeah, it's really a great idea! It should be based off of TooManyItems, and we should call it "Not Enough Items", NEI for short. If only a mod like that was present in the game...

I'd bring it up with the O button, and I'd be able to click on items to see their recipes and their uses!

It doesn't tell you what you can do with it right, just how you make it.

There is already a "What the hell can I use this for" function in NEI. All you have to do is press U (or whatever is standard in Tekkit) instead of the recipe button.

That makes this what you're doing totally absolute.
