keenteer Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I recently upgraded to the newest tekkit launcher. I deleted all previous tekkit files and installed the new launcher. I went to download the new tekkit modpack and when it reached Greg's Lighting mod it stopped downloading and would not finish. It does similar things for every other pack only stopping at a different point. How do i fix this problem.
cuoconnell Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I too am now having this issue when I tried reinstalling the client today. For some reason the pack couldn't find the tekkit pack initially. Upon Reinstalling it now freezes when it gets to gregs lighting at 1%
Icedblue Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Yes, I have the same issue all of the mod packs freeze upon trying to install, or after installation I just get the tekkit window opening with a blank white screen done a fresh install loads of times still no luck and I have deleted my old launcher =(
cuoconnell Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 Tekkit opening to a white screen is a memory issue. Have you checked the increase perma gen size box? its found in the menu accessed by clicking the gear in the top right of the launcher. You'll also need to allot at least 2gb of ram.
modestcrafter Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I recently created my own modpack, and have had a similar problem. On all other modpacks I have tried, the modpack downloads and works perfectly. However, on my modpack, whichever mod is last on my list of mods stops downloading on 1%. At first I thought it was a problem with SimpleBackround but when I rearranged the list it happened with RedPower 2, IndustrialCraft 2, and any other mod that was last on the list.
keenteer Posted May 19, 2013 Author Posted May 19, 2013 It only allows me to allot 1 gig max how do you set it to do 2 gig's?
modestcrafter Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 It only allows me to allot 1 gig max how do you set it to do 2 gig's? That means your computer only has 1 gig. A computer with 4 gigs has a max of 4 gigs, 3 gigs a max of 3 gigs... See if you can put more gigs of RAM in your computer. If you raise the amount of RAM to at least 2 gigs you will be able to allot 2 gigs to technic launcher.

lukeb28 Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 You need to download more RAM Do yo have any idea what RAM is? That means your computer only has 1 gig. A computer with 4 gigs has a max of 4 gigs, 3 gigs a max of 3 gigs... See if you can put more gigs of RAM in your computer. If you raise the amount of RAM to at least 2 gigs you will be able to allot 2 gigs to technic launcher. That's not the issue. OP: your using a 32 bit operating system thus limiting you to 1 gig. You simply cannot get more out of it.
Mathias_1307 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I have the same issue, but my pc have 4 gb RAM and it can't go higher than 1 in tekkit
Bigdeaner Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Do yo have any idea what RAM is? That's not the issue. OP: your using a 32 bit operating system thus limiting you to 1 gig. You simply cannot get more out of it. Yes that is why this is a joke. RAM is physical memory, you can't download it. Get it? By the way, do "yo" have any idea how to spell "you"?
Mathias_1307 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Now I got it on 3 Gb and it still freeze at 1% gregslightning.
WoxyFoxy Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I have the same issue in a way. atm it only freezes when downloading large packs like infamy modern warfare or hexxit
dwwojcik Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 i have a 64 bit and it still don't work Check to see if you have 32 bit java installed.
