ShoeLace1291 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 So, for the last couple of days, I have been trying to build a lava farm in creative mode as an experiment before building it in my survival world. I followed a tutorial on YouTube, and I am somewhat confident that I have everything set up correctly. It appears as though my world anchors are not working. Everything works fine on the overworld end when I'm in the overworld, and vice versa. I have taken a couple of screen shots of each end to see if I messed something up. Netherworld: 1: Ender Chest 2: Filter with empty buckets 3: Filter with lava buckets 4: Deployer Overworld: 1: Ender Chest 2: Filter with lava buckets 3: filter with empty buckets 4: Deployer In the overworld, the lava buckets come out but only for a little bit and then stop. Anybody have any ideas? This is really bugging me!
cerevox Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Pretty sure you are in the wrong forum, since those are RP2 machines, and RP2 has been removed from tekkit. Assuming you checked to make sure the buckets are moving correctly, imna blame the world anchor. Use a different chunk loader. The world anchor has a few things it does well, and a lot of broken not workingness all over.
ShoeLace1291 Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 Oh yeah, didn't realize RP2 was removed from Tekkit... haven't updated in a while... lol. I've tried Teleport Tethers as well. When the buckets move, they do move correctly. BTW, I am in single player, if that matters.
Magister Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 as far as i know chunk loaders of any kind do not work in single player
Calvariae Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 as far as i know chunk loaders of any kind do not work in single player This is definitely not true. I've used both of the tekkit-default chunk loaders - Chicken Chunks and Dimensional Anchors - and both have functioned 100% properly in SSP.
cerevox Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Indeed, grossly false. I can't think of any chunk loader that only works in smp, and considering the fact that the code was unified a while ago, that claim makes even less sense.

But, it may be that he is playing tekkit classic, in which case I'd be true.
cerevox Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Even in tekkit classic there were chunkloaders that worked in ssp and smp.
cmwatford Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Back in 1.2.5 chunk loading blocks wouldn't keep chunks in another world in ssp loaded unless you were in that world. It was an issue with the way minecraft worked before the ssp and smp merge.
cerevox Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Across dimensions, yes, that is true. However, the post I was responding to was this.(bold mine) as far as i know chunk loaders of any kind do not work in single player
ShoeLace1291 Posted May 26, 2013 Author Posted May 26, 2013 Ok, so we all agree that world anchors work in SSP. Can you guys spot any problems with my designs?
cmwatford Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Ok, so we all agree that world anchors work in SSP. Can you guys spot any problems with my designs? The problem is that you're playing 1.2.5. Chunk loaders don't work across dimensions in ssp in 1.2.5.
cmwatford Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 It looks like he is playing 1.4.6/7 to me. I'm pretty sure he's got an alchemical chest in both pics. That kind of precludes anything later than 1.2.5.
cerevox Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Huh, your right, for some reason I was thinking EE2 went all the way through 1.4.6. In that case, you are right, it is because his world anchor doesn't work cross dimensions. Derp by me.
