Stubbypickle205 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Hello, I operate two servers and they have the same config/plugins for the most part. One stays at 20 TPS, and the Big Dig server gets around 15 tps and sometimes as low as 8 tps. Has anyone else seen this as an issue with Big Dig?
daeos Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Are these dedicated or vps servers? What is the RAM config (dedicated or shared) and overload shared load of the servers? Are they are on the same vps? It might very well be that your host has one of your servers hosted on a box that hosts many other mc servers with high load.
Stubbypickle205 Posted June 8, 2013 Author Posted June 8, 2013 I have a dedicated server running 2 servers. One stays at 20 tps and the other bounces from 10-20 off and on. Host is 32gigs of RAM with 15 gigs to the server with lower tps.
Stubbypickle205 Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 Here's my timings report also: http://tny.cz/1d721d28 Currently 6 TPS, 15gig free ram, 53 players online, with 3496 chunks loaded. Hopefully someone can be of assistance ;)
Joker2040 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Increase the PermGen? http://www.dbuggr.com/smallwei/permsize-maxpermsize-work-java/ Syntax: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Languages/Java/J2SE/Q_24492935.html Lowering the chunk radius from 10 to 9 drops the chunks loaded by ~20%, minus the additional chunk loaders.
Stone Rhino Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Some of the mods that compose Voltz have a strange problem of jamming up the servers. I had it a lot when I ran a Voltz PVP server and had to reboot it every 4 hours. One of the mods has a memory leak I think and its getting hard to identify which one. I just fired up a creative world and my xeon workstation ground to a halt after it used up all 4GB in 20 minutes. Had to task-kill it just to get my pc back.
