MoJoCyAnIdE Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Okay, so i have my slime crystals i looked at the book and saw you can make cool as slime tools, but i'm having trouble casting them. Can anyone give me a hand?
Lethosos Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Did you use the regular wooden stencils on the Parts Bench? The casts are for pre-molding tool parts straight from the Smeltery.
Maddawg5450 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 You have to have a smeltery, a table to catch the molten "ingots", a cast of the tool head you want to use and the parts it requires, a spout to pour the molten material, and, of course, the material of choice in molten state. There should be a manual in the game that tells you exactly how to craft, set up and use each block.
MoJoCyAnIdE Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 i have the smeltery up and running but i still don't get how to use the 2 wooden (stencil table) & (part bench), If i'm right then you have to make a cast with them, put it on a casting table then pour metal on them? using the valve things and drain.
Belone Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 You don't actually need to smelt the slime crystals. Just put the stencil in the left hand slot of the Part Builder and then the crystal in the slot just right of this. This will create the part in the right hand slot (as well as a chunk - I forget what's its called with Silme - which can be used to make more parts). I'd recommend looking up DireWolf20's video on YouTube of Tinkers Construct, it's pretty informative.
dark_hunter Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 When using the ingots you use the wooden stencils, when using the liquid metal, you pour into a cast stencil.
