It's the bukkit team doing this I believe. At least try "tried" to give developers a few days to get up to date before dropping the new version. Though I they would have found that world gen error earlier they could have just slapped the patch on and not have to do this update. Ironically, the more they update minecraft the more out of date there server software gets. Never mind they actually have made some progress on it now. Quote Hi new here, but 1.2.5 is out!
