RolandWarner Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Which version of optifine do you reccomend for Big Dig version 1.3.9,Forge #712?
Maddawg5450 Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Just use the Optifine version for your version of Minecraft. If you're running MC 1.5.2 then get the Optifine version for MC 1.5.2. Link: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-152-optifine-hd-d3-fps-boost-hd-textures-aa-af-and-much-more/ I currently run Ultra, because I like to customize my specs to be high performance while maintaining good looks.
Stone Rhino Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Either I'm screwing up something or WinRAR doesnt handle .jar files right. used winzip and 7zip. both apparently corrupt the minecraft.jar file
Maddawg5450 Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I used 7zip. Make sure you follow the instructions precisely, or you could run into problems. Installed the D3 ultra just recently, manually, and have had no troubles since.
Stone Rhino Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 I did, thats the strange part. I'll try compiling the jar on another machine.
jondonnis Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 How do you get it to work? I do everything the guide states yet Minecraft still crashes when loading. Opening C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\.technic\bigdig\bin\minecraft.jar with winrar, deleting the META folder, copying over all the Optifine, save. Then loading BigDig, just crashes. ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // I bet Cylons wouldn't have this problem. name-must-be-unique-WTF Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Put the files from optifine.zip into modpack.jar, rather than minecraft.jar
Stone Rhino Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 works, but there are a lot of texture problems with many of the mods. IMO, this is a deal breaker if I cant see what I'm crafting.
