Repairing Items?

Hi folks,

Did a search of the forums, and googled for it, but didn't find anything.

Is there a way to repair items in the new Tekkit?

you can combine two identical items to get an item with boosted durability, but that's it (I do believe you gain some small amount of durability in the process, but I've never tried to quantify it).

Or, if they are enchanted, using an anvil is reccomended

placing the item and the material used to make it in an anvil will repair it.

half broken iron sword plus iron ingots and a little xp will fix it for example

Doh, it never occurred to me that the ability might be present in vanilla minecraft. I only searched for Tekkit solutions.
