nate handley Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I was mining in a dungeon i wandered off in, and deep in the cave about 20 cubes from bedrock there was a floating blue box (that was spinning) that was unbreakable and i couldn't place anything over it so i dug beneath it and found nothing special, I come back up and it has vanished......anyone else notice this?? JoeDolca Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 It's a soul you can catch with an essence catcher. It's used for stuff in one of the mods, try looking it up. Quote
slicerdicer230 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 it also happens when you kill a mob with a scythe or soul reaper(i think thats what its called) special attack Quote
Xenathode Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 how do you make the thing to catch/collect it though? My NEI isn't showing me the recipe. (also for the blood vessel thing) Quote
Xenathode Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 As long as the subject of souls is up, what can you do with them? I know that there are some amulets that use blood and souls for something but what else? Quote
Roors99 Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 If you craft an Altar of Souls and a Crucible of Souls you can give your tools unique enchants, create Bottles o' Enchanting, and create Soulweave Cloth. You can also drink Souls to be given a random potion effect (good or bad) and Hunger. Quote
viesiu Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 It's also used to craft livingmetal ingots from iron ingots. Livingmetal tools and armor repair themselves a tiny bit whenever u catch a soul. Quote
