Where is Technic?

Hi all,

I recently upgraded from the old launcher to the new one, and looking at the mod list on the launcher page, Technic is mysteriously absent.

The launcher is named Technic, the website is named Technic, the forums are named Technic, but Technic itself isn't on my modpack list.

I am aware that Technic was simply a compilation of mods, however it was a compilation of mods I really enjoyed using, and would like to continue doing so.

If anyone could tell me where I can find Technic (even if it's an old version), or if it no longer exists, then what the closest alternative is, I would be most grateful. I've tried the main 'Tekkit' mod pack (the blue one), but it appears to be missing a number of things that were present in the old Technic.

If anyone could spare a few moments to bring me up to speed so I can continue to appreciate the effort and hard work put in by the modding community; that would be greatly appreciated.

Technic as a single player pack no longer has a point. With the changes made to minecraft, there is no longer a need for a line between multi and single. As such, the name "Technic" has been repurposed as to cover the entire brand of Technic products, and the functioning current modpacks, in chronological order is Tekkit Classic, Tekkit Lite, and the newest Tekkit, which is the most up to date. Anything 'missing' has been intentionally removed, as it has either not been updated at the same rate as other mods, or the team felt it wasn't fitting the theme.

While I appreciate the reply, this was the key statement in my post; which remains unmentioned. I mentioned this specifically, as I am aware that the answer may not be entirely standard, although I don't enjoy quoting myself.

Try that, if that doesn't work, either rebuild the pack yourself (all the files are publicly available) or search the platform like I just did

The new tekkit is essentially an updated SSP pack. All mods are now SMP so that means that a dedicated single player pack is obsolete.

I believe big dig is the new technic because this showed up after it went away
