egadgetboy Posted July 15, 2013 Share Posted July 15, 2013 This is the very first day I've been around Technic/Hexxit, so I have nothing to compare it to. But sadly, I've noticed that both the Technic Launcher and the Hexxit website has been down or having errors much of the day while I have been trying to start a private server. It definitely makes me have second thoughts now; especially since none of us can download the necessary items in order to play. I posted my comment here, hoping it's in the right location. And because it's not Hexxit specific...attempts to download Tekkit (just to see) failed as well. This has been between the hours of 10am and 9pm central time today. I looked around and see no intermittent outages being reported. Is this what I should expect from Technic, or is there something odd going on today? Sincere thanks... I won't say it's uncommon because it happens every so often, but it isn't frequent and I'm sure Top Men are working to improve the experience for everyone during heavy load periods even as we speak. hang in there and it will be much better shortly. edit: it's probably worse recently because of hexxit's release. the curse of popularity. PrimitiveKnows Posted July 15, 2013 Share Posted July 15, 2013 I haven't been able to get on tekkit or hexxit all day. Launcher fails to connect with any pack now. I've been looking through the forums all day and seen many people with the same issues but no fixes. When I try to go to hexxit web page I get a 504. I would assume server host problems but... As freakachu said a lot of people are playing Hexxit now, it's attracted a lot of current users to play something new and probably introduced a new group of users who prefer adventure over machines.
