I managed to open the launcher and press launch but when I get to, "FML is setting up your minecraft environment", the "tekkit" screen is all blank and its supposed to say Mojang, instead it just shuts down :/ the weird thing is that I can play minecraft without problems. ps. weirleader Posted July 21, 2013 Share Posted July 21, 2013 okay, here's my best shot at this -- if it works, it's totally thanks to CanVox and Google (see: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/hexxit-quits-itself-after-installation.49323/) if it's the same situation, you can't run Java 7 on a Mac with the default LWJGL -- you need to either downgrade to Java 6 OR manually upgrade your install's LWJGL to 2.9 (can't give you any direction there, as I know less than nothing about Macs). If that does solve your problem, you should definitely post back so others can benefit from it. And if not, perhaps CanVox can bust out some more awesome tech help. knatte12 Posted July 22, 2013 Author Share Posted July 22, 2013 Weirleader, thank you so much for giving me all this information but I got a problem, first I tried uninstalling java 7 and downgrade to java 6, but my computer acted like it didn't have java from the first beginning! But I managed, thanks to apples website, to downgrade it so know, I've got java 1.6.0_51. And I tried to launch tekkit again, but it doesn't work! knatte12 Posted July 22, 2013 Author Share Posted July 22, 2013 I have java 7 and should have LWJGL 2.9 (if I installed it right, which I don't think) Alright, so all I want know, is to either, downgrade java or upgrade LWJGL. Downgrading Java seems to bee the easiest way to do it. So when I got to Java.com and do the test to see what version I got, it says 1.6.0_51. But I've read somewhere that if u go on terminal and type in "java -version" It says what version you got on your computer. When I did that, it said that I got "java version "1.7.0_25" Java SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b15) Java HotSpot 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)" I've tried to remove javaappletplugin.plugin and type in comands that I got from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5559?viewlocale I've also put in some commands from other websites, BUT in the end, when I type in "Java -version" It says Java 7...Does anyone have a solution to truly remove java 7 and have java 6? I finally got it right, I think Im gonna play like this for quite a while but sooner or later I'll have to fix it right, it still takes like a minute to launch the game and its fkn irritating because of it being upside down, but it would be helpful if you could explain to me how to install perfectly so it isn't so complicated :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I actually think that this version of LWJGL is enough to work fine, but you just gotta install it right, but I really want java to fix a new version where everything smooth, cuz java is easier to install and theres people who wants java 7 for other programs Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
