How do I update tekkit to minecraft 1.6.2. Right now im running on 1.5 and cant join any multiplayer servers. Please help me update to minecraft 1.6.2

There is no such thing as a 1.6 Tekkit server. I don't know what you are going on about.

1. Tekkit 1.0.6 (which runs Minecraft 1.5.1)
   
2. Tekkit 1.1.5 (MC 1.5.2)
   
3. Tekkit Lite (MC 1.4.7)
   
4. Hexxit 1.0.5 (MC 1.5.2)
   
5. Big Dig (MC 1.5.2)
   
6. Tekkit Classic (MC 1.2.5)
   
7. Hack/Mine (MC 1.2.3)
   
8. Voltz (MC 1.4.7)
   
9. or just download and run Vanilla 1.6.2; as you can see, none of the modpacks are even close... these things take time!

Are you using the right version of the pack? Are you using the right pack?

Are you joining Tekkit servers or just vanilla Minecraft servers?

yeah, if it's telling you it's 1.6.2 then it's probably a vanilla Minecraft server

I think you are very confused. Are you attempting to code a modification for Minecraft? If so, I assure you Logging in is not a part of this process.

Have you tried reading the rules? Double posting is against them.

The edit button is right near your name in light grey at the very bottom left of your post. It's kind of hard to miss if you're looking for it.

Tekkit 1.0.6 (recommended) is on Minecraft version 1.5.1.

Tekkit 1.1.5 (latest) is on Minecraft version 1.5.2.
