Norman1346 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I am really loving the new tekkit pack. It is really a fantastic modpack. Considering the large variety of liquids available in this pack, as well as how the pack works great for factory type builds, I would think Xycraft would be a very popular and well suited addition? Large vats of liquids look cool! Is that possible? Is it a poor idea? Quote
Lethosos Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Not possible. Last version is 1.4.7, and the next update is going directly to a 1.6.2 release, at the least. Quote

It seems like a lot of old mods just die as minecraft moves on. I noticed they did manage to included the project table from red power 2. Xycraft is not a large mod. Couldn't a similar thing be done with Xycraft?? If not then I hope they just include something similar in a future mod. Quote
weirleader Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Old mods just die because their creators/support crew move on. There's not much to be done about it other than become one of the content creators. Quote

There's not much to be done about it other than become one of the content creators. For me the there is nothing good to be done about it then. I am not tech savvy at all. I never got one single mod to work before the Tekkit launcher. I have still never changed my player skin. I suppose my last ditch hope is that a well placed suggestion might inspire one of the talented people. Quote
dwwojcik Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Soaryn is still working on XYcraft. He just hasn't had the chance to get a public release of his mod out. (I remember they had a 1.5 dev version on Forgecraft 2) Quote

That was my point; I was attempting to politely point out that while it might be frustrating to lose a favorite mod it's also important to remember to just be grateful for whatever mods are still out there and active. I wish I had the skills and/or time to make my own mod, but since I don't... I'm just eminently thankful for those that do and happy with whatever they deign to bestow upon me. :D Quote
