[Suggestion] Concerning a Crash Issue that could be avoided

i highly suggest rebinding the "Recipe" key (default "R") to something else. Its already bound to "sort inventory" and will cause a lot of crashes when in inventory (when hovering over an item and pressing "R")

changing this by default to an unused key would avoid a lot of crashes coming from that issue, which would then reduce the crash report load you see on this forums :)

i think so, yes. Anyway, since i remapped the "recipe" key to an unused one, i dont crash anymore while in inventory and pressing "R" (which i have an habit to do, in order ro sort inventory). The game will still crash, if you try to left click some items (i guess IC2 stuff, generators, compressors etc.) on the right panel, but i know now not to do that, so i dont get any crashes anymore.

Yeah, no, see if they were to change the default recipe key to something else, we just have an equal number of posts saying "HALP I CAN NOT VIEW RECIPES."

the double use of R is not causing you to crash, guy. if people don't like it, i.e. you, then you can change the binds just like you already did. problem solved.

Neither does coming to the forums and complaining about something you can fix yourself.

at what point was i complaining ? I simply pointed out something that does indeed causes crashes (yes it does) and could be easily fixed.
