Yes. For every version of Tekkit, you are required by law to buy new hardware. Not just new, but the top enterprise grade servers that money can buy (unless you've sprung for the optional legacy supercomputer package).

I i wonder about the same thing since I already have build quite some farms on my server as well...

I have the feeling your stuff will just disappear. Don't take my word for it though.

Besides, you can always install it manually. Though then all your server players will also have to install it manually.
