How to get and store power

I started a server and realised their's no mfsu's orbat box's, i'm clueless on how to make power and store it, anyone help me out?

IC2 hasn't been in Big Dig since Minecraft 1.4. Its functionality has been completely replaced by Thermal Expansion and Universal Electricity.

Redstone Energy Cells

Redstone Energy Cells from Thermal Expansion are a bit hard to get at first, as they require a magma crucible and liquid transposer. You may be better off with the Energy Cube from Universal Electricity, which is a bit easier to make.
