Description of Problem:

Well I open the Technic launcher and when i try to play hexxit it Gives me a msg saying...(message in error messsages section VVVV)

Error Messages:

It says "Error unzipping a file for the following pack: Hexxit

error in opening zip file

Please consult the modpack author

That error log looks suspicious. Are you sure you downloaded the technic launcher from technicpack.net?

There has been reports of users in the past downloading some shady shit from somewhere else.

http://www.technicpack.net/download <-- That is the download site. If you went to a different address you did NOT download technic launcher from Technic.

i downloaded the launcher again but it shows me the same thing... i looked in other threads i deleted the tekkit folders ... i deleted the hexxit folder with was only made up of bin cache config coremods lib mods resources and saves (folders) all of them were empty .... it only started happening today ... yesterday it was fine

Do you have any antivirus or firewall installed? There's a few antivirus programs that are known to cause this issue. Please read this LINK.

I just realized that this thread is in the wrong place, it should've been in the technic launcher bug section. Maybe a kind mod will move it?

this is when i just run the launcher

And then i switch from another pack to Hexxit it says this

and i dont know if this will help (im not good at these things) but in the report log thingy it says InstalledPack{info=SolderPackInfo{name='hexxit', display_name='Hexxit' bla bla bla

and i was just looking over the log and i saw the thing saying InstalledPack.... I never downloaded/installed the pack..... and when i try to download it it just says Error in unzipping bla bla......

That launcher window does not look right at all. Either your running something pre-windows XP, or your not using the launcher from the official technic site.

ok this is how I fixed mine.... my laptop broke so im playing on a family computer..... on my account hexxit wouldnt launch but when i went to my mums account i downloaded hexxit and copied the whole .technic folder from %appdata% and then i went to my own account i deleted mine .technic folder and pasted the one from my mums account .... and it works....
