[HELP](Bug/Glitch)Downloads Freeze

I have been trying to download Tekkit classic from the launcher, everytime it freezes on any random mod, I restart it and it gets past that mod. But it gets through alot of mods downloading and then it get stuck on Matmos, and will not download at all, no matter what I try... I have used it before but about a year ago, I even had a server running on it that was quite popular... Please help.

I Just tried downloading a community mad modpack to see if it was just the official ones were just broken. I got an error saying

"Error unzipping a file for the modpack,

Error in opening a zip file,

Please consult the modpack author."

The modpack you might have downloaded may have been poorly made, and thus not working.

I have some modpacks that work. try those and see if its just you.

I dont know how to do the easy read thing on forums but here is the console... Both of the other packs said the error unzipping thing and the Aether actually started but froze at the the second mod.

Since the update, my launcher completely freezes. it finishes everything, but then when it said "Processing Version", it freezes. I have reset everything, doesn't work. the network connection is good. when I open console, it sais retries remaining 3, and then after all this information, it sais download failed. It goes all the way to 1 try remaining, then it stops downloading. I try every day, it still doesn't work, and its been this way since the update.

wenever i try to download vannila minecreaft (my old one broke) it says download failed retries remaining 0
