Can't host server. Need help!

I tried to host a server with the b-team modpack but the launcher(The .bat file) keeps showing this in the console.

 

C:Users<My pc name>DesktopServer>java -Xmx3G -Xms2G -jar BTeam.jar nogui

Error occurred during initialization of VM

Could not reserve enough space for object heap

 

Any ideas?

The implication is that your computer has insufficient memory to reserve the minimum allocation you have set: -Xms2G

 

More details would help:

- How much physical RAM does your machine have

- Are you trying to run the client and server from the same machine

- How much free memory does your system report before starting client or server

I have 4gb of ram and I already understand the problem thanks to you. I just have to distribute it right.

Running a BTeam server and client on a Windows machine with 4G of ram will be almost impossible. Good luck.

Since there is only 3 of us playing i'm running it perfectly with occasional lag when generating new chunks.
