elmarko98 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I'm sure I've got everything right, I made a 5x5 water pool with the reactor in the middle and had control rods ready but the turbines don't do anything. They're directly above the water with nothing between it and the water and they just don't turn even when the reactors at full heat. No energy's made either. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
TonyVS Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 atomic science is currently broken. best to come up with other power solutions until further notice.
Sir_Obama Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Is atomic science borked in 1.2.7 only? All my reactors and turbines work in 1.2.6 Excluding the slight issue with only 8/10 turbines spinning half the time.
TonyVS Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 yea it has been progressively getting worse I am using a version above 1.2.7 and I am even more broken then they are. so don't update atomic science if you don't have too
Sir_Obama Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 When was Atomic Science at its best/most fun? I love the mod, but just wondering if there is an earlier version that works better.
TonyVS Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 yea the version in 1.5.2 was awesome, I am waiting for that return of excellence, it will come
Sir_Obama Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I'll just put up with 1.6.4 version for now, hope it gets back to its glory so I can experience it.
m0nk Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) I'm sure I've got everything right, I made a 5x5 water pool with the reactor in the middle and had control rods ready but the turbines don't do anything. Try using some steam funnels then a fluiduct with active redstone on top to get the steam in the pipes. Just started playing Tekkit again after a year inactivity. What exactly is broken? I noticed the following: You need more than one control rod to keep the temperature stable. Fluiducts need to be at the bottom of the turbine, as steam goes up. Big turbines now require pipes below the whole turbine instead of one single pipe input.. Reactor meltdown temp lowered from 1800+ to 726 or something. Edited March 10, 2014 by m0nk
TonyVS Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) redstone is no longer needed with 1.6.4 that actually turns the liquiducts off by default. steam can only go up one block, you cant stack funnels anymore. not sure what else to tell you here is my setup below Edited March 10, 2014 by TonyVS
