wont open the game

My launcher opens and i am able to click the play button but the game never opens it looks like its opening then it just goes back to the launcher and there is no error message.

This is only happening o tekkit it works for other mod packs like voltz and b-team.

please help

Getting the same thing. Just updated to 1.2.8c. Go to press play, console shows every thing loading, Jar file pops up a small loading screen, then back to tekkit screen with no activity.

My computer launches the new tekkit fine, but my wife has this exact problem so we can't play together. Been trying to figure it out all day.

Are you all running 32 bit or 64 bit windows? Java 6 or Java 7?

same thing is happening to me build 1.2.7 and 1.2.7b both work just not any of the .8s

Damn, that's the same I'm running on my PC, and newest tekkit works fine. My wife is 32 bit and java 6, so i thought that may have been it.
