Technic Launcher Not letting me Log in! Please help!

Hi. I have been wanting to Play the Crafting Dead for so long and when I go to log into my Technic Launcher it says my Username and Password are invalid or wrong. This is not true as when I log in on the website it all works fine and I copy those exact entries from the website to the launcher and it still won't let me log in! Please help I really want to play! Thanks.

You log in to the launcher with your Minecraft account, not your forum/platform account.

If you can't log in with your Minecraft or Mojang account credentials you need to contact Mojang Support for help.

 

Technic Launcher connects through Mojangs authentication server, so take it up with Mojang if you can't log in.

I have checked my username and password and they are working with mojang mine craft.

 

any tips on how to fix this?

found the answer - need to login with mine craft email address rather than username
